Job Description:

The Core Network Products organization is a team of highly motivated, self-driven individuals who take great pride in our work culture. This talented team strives to deliver competitive payment product solutions and capabilities that offer seamless and secure payment experiences to meet the evolving needs of our global partners and customers. As the Product Manager of the Card Account Management, you will define solutions to enhance the customer experience and solve problems for our clients. You will interface cross functional teams like technology, marketing, sales, legal and with partners/clients to understand use cases and requirements and define product vision, roadmap, long-term goal and objectives of the product and align with organization’s strategic goal.

This role supports product management of card account product capabilities and value-added services delivery of key business initiatives to manage partner experiences. The individual will need to be a successful thought leader who is willing to make meaningful impacts through their work. They must value the team culture and demonstrate essential work ethics. They will leverage their understanding of the payments landscape to identify and coordinate research activities supporting new and ongoing development of products, and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Research and investigate industry trends and opportunities in support of Discover’s strategy by independently selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Works on problems and projects of diverse scope related to advancing business objectives and growth strategies.
  • Conducts analysis on business opportunities and business projects. Coordinates with cross-functional teams and external resources to manage processes related to strategy development and required due diligence.
  • Develops presentation materials regarding opportunities, analysis, and or transactions and recommendations to leadership. Leads components of presentations (e.g., financial technical analysis) to leadership

Qualification You'll need

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, social sciences, business administration and management, marketing, communications or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in Product Management or related field
  • In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of experience in card payments, network, acquiring, issuing, mobile technologies, digital payments or related field, including product management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in information technology, social sciences, business administration and management, marketing, communications or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in Card payments, network, acquiring, issuing, mobile technologies, digital payments, financial services or related
  • 2+ years of experience in Fintech platforms, start-ups, or related field

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $88,500.00 to $149,300.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
