As a Principal Agile Program Manager, you will leverage your deep understanding of agile principles and modern software product development process to shape how we work, learn, and innovate. You leverage your Agile management skillset to continuously evolve product development process to reduce waste and improve efficiency. You will also help build strong communities and shape our culture of continuous learning and continuous improvement. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management. 

Responsibilities 

  • Optimizes the flow of work across multiple agile teams throughout product development life cycle 
  • Motivates and enables others to take accountability to streamline product delivery process, efficiently manage large and complex products launches across multiple teams 
  • Leverages data and metrics to derive insights and continuously identify improvement opportunities. Drive these improvement opportunities to fruition 
  • Be the champion of Agile Software Product development processes within a Value Stream and mentor Product Owners and Engineers to follow agile practices 
  • Leads the charge on building community, foster inter-team collaboration and the culture of continuous learning and continuous improvement across the entire Value Stream 
  • Collaborates with Discover Technology Academy to create, contribute and teach through immersive learning experiences that support delivery of products, services, solutions and capabilities 
  • Play a key role in federating Discover Tech Academy Dojo Factory capabilities 

Minimum Qualifications 

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you: 

  • Bachelors – Computer Science or Business or related 
  • 6+ Years – Project Management, Agile or Related 

Preferred Qualifications 

If we had our say, we’d also look for: 

  • Effectively present information to technical or non-technical audiences ranging from team level meetings through to Executive briefs and updates.
  • Develop metrics to assess the success of the program managed 
  • Well-versed in defining program roadmaps and delivering with teams that employ agile software development methodologies.
  • Ensuring program milestone alignment to organization's OKRs and being able to succinctly report-out on progress versus. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to create specific, measurable, and ambitious objectives that further the business both in isolation as well as in concert with other teams’ goals.
  • Identify potential risks and dependencies that may impact program delivery and provide regular updates to stakeholders on program status, milestones, risks and issues
  • Lead the program management of large multi-functional programs/projects, covering program planning, delivery assurance and verification, tracking and reporting, and risk and mitigation planning.
  • Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives. Communicates reporting requirements; creates monitoring and control mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
  • Knowledge of successful approaches and techniques for dealing with change; ability to adapt to a changing environment and be comfortable with change.
  • PMP certification
  • PgMP certification

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $88,500.00 to $149,300.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
