Job Description:

What You'll Do

Responsible for managing a team that develops and implements operation strategies including acquisition, servicing, support, and back-office. Manages analytical initiatives that develop and evaluate strategies, policies, and procedures. Develops and coaches teams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manage risk within the teams you oversee.

How You'll Do It

  • Develops and implements strategies to meet business goals.

  • Enhances system capabilities to improve decision making and operation effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Monitors and maintains systems and decision integrity to minimize adverse impacts on customers.

  • Manages and develops a team including hiring, performance evaluation, and development decisions.

  • Plans, initiates, prioritizes, and oversees projects to meet business needs.

  • Manages legal, compliance, and audit processes for the team.

Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics

  • Bachelor’s in Economics, Business Administration and Management, Finance, Engineering

  • 8+ years Consumer Finance, Analytics, Operations Strategy/ Research or related

  • In lieu of degree - 10+ years Consumer Finance, Analytics, Operations Strategy/ Research or related

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Master’s in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering

  • 10+ years Consumer Finance, Analytics, Operations Strategy/ Research or related

  • In lieu of a degree - 10+ years of product management experience, specifically in the mortgage space or 10+ years of operations strategy specifically in the mortgage space.

  • Understanding Closing, Funding and Post Closing Policies i.e. Fannie and Freddie Guides

  • Understanding of the 5 C’s (Credit, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, Conditions)

  • Understand Mortgage Industry Best Practices

  • Product Thinking: Automation, Technology, Design etc.

  • Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts, understand pricing, cost control measures

  • Operations Strategy: Process engineering, Operations Health KPI’s, Pipeline Management etc.

  • People Management: Improve underperforming teams, elevate performing teams, drive employee engagement

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $106,000.00 to $178,800.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.

We hire employees for our community-based customer care centers, who are required to work on-site for their first six months. After six months of employment, we then provide the option to transition to a hybrid or fully remote work model.

Our community-based customer care centers are located in Chicago, Illinois (Chatham) and Columbus, OH (Whitehall).

We hire many employees in the following states as fully remote:

  • Arizona
  • Delaware (including the surrounding states of MD, NJ, PA)
  • Illinois
  • Ohio
  • Utah

This excludes any role that is hired in our community-based customer care centers located in Chicago, Illinois (Chatham) or Columbus, OH (Whitehall).
