What You’ll Do
The Cloud Data Warehouse Architecture team is looking for an Expert Application Architect who is passionate about building products that help Discover achieve the next level of growth in Data Decisioning and Analytics. An architect in this role designs, prototypes, and documents full stack solutions to fit business needs. Full stack solutions require one or more of the following: front-end (user interfaces), back-end (APIs), and database development. As the Expert Application Architect, you will be responsible for architecture, design and support of implementation of reliable infrastructure services on AWS.
An architect in this role works independently or with the team to innovate and advocate for best practices within the team. Primary responsibilities include working with the product team to architect complex solutions across large cross-functional enterprise teams, troubleshooting production issues, designing complex solutions and delivering code from development through production, updating/enhancing current products, automation of support processes and documentation.
Leverage deep understanding of business processes and technical building blocks to design application architecture that balances business and customer needs with technical non-functional requirements for resiliency, security and efficiency. Partners with application and data engineers to ensure the application ecosystem is engineered according to architecture vision and continuously evolve the architecture and applications to meet changing customer and business needs. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, able to juggle multiple tasks at once, able to work independently and can maintain professionalism under pressure. You must be able to identify problems and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages. You must be able to accurately prioritize projects, make sound judgments, and work to improve the user experience

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $175,500.00 to $242,300.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package.
