2024 SWE Conference

The Society of Women Engineers is the largest advocate for women in engineering. Discover was proud to serve as a key sponsor for the 2024 Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Conference in Chicago, IL. As one of the 480+ exhibitors at the SWE Career Fair, Discover had the opportunity to engage with students, early career, and seasoned STEM professionals. Discover was proud to be a sponsor of the Friday keynote session, sharing its commitment to investing in STEM talent with over 4,000 audience members.

AnitaB Grace Hopper Celebration

The AnitaB Grace Hopper Celebration is the largest gathering of women and non-binary technologists. Discover was proud to serve as a key sponsor for the 2024 Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC) with over 30,000 attendees in Philadelphia, PA. GHC attendees had an opportunity to engage with Discover at the career fair and during Discover's panel on "Building Tech Through Togetherness."

Latinas in Tech Virtual Fireside Chat

Latinas in Tech is committed to building a tech industry where Latinas are well-represented and empowered to be innovators and leaders. Discover was proud to co-host its very first event, a virtual fireside chat, with Latinas in Tech in September 2024. Discover leaders Mercedes Pesantez, Arlene Santiago, and Elizabeth Gutiérrez shared their unique career journeys through the lens of being Latina with 171 members of the Latinas in Tech community.

TechChicago Week 2024

July 22 – July 26, 2024

For the second year, Discover sponsored TechChicago Day, the flagship event for TechChicago Week. The event is a celebration of the diversity of Chicago's tech ecosystem - from innovative tech and companies large and small, to the people and culture. Employees from BT, DNA, and HR attended the event, and CIO Jason Strle made the opening remarks for keynote speaker, Joakim Noah. Discover’s sponsorship and presence is one of many illustrations of the company’s commitment to creating equity in technology across Chicagoland.

July 15 – July 18, 2024

Discover was proud to serve as a key sponsor for the 2024 Disability:IN Conference hosting the “Let’s Talk Money” session for Disability:IN NextGen Leaders and the “Navigating the Return” conference session. With over 5,000 in-person and virtual attendees representing 37 countries, the Discover Team had the opportunity to engage with leaders in the accessibility and inclusion space in Las Vegas, Nevada during an energizing week.

LWT Pride Networking Event

Lesbians Who Tech (LWT) is committed to reaching pay equity and representation for women and nonbinary individuals at every level of their careers. In June 2024, Discover hosted the Lesbians Who Tech Pride Networking Event in its Chicago office to conclude the 2024 Lesbians Who Tech Virtual Pride Summit. Attendees had an opportunity to meet Discover team members and local Lesbians Who Tech community members for an evening of networking, light bites, and community building.

The Women in Product (WIP) community supports over 30,000 women and non-binary people in product management at all levels. In March 2024, Discover hosted a fireside chat with Wendy Shotts, Yixiu Li, and Kate Lybarger for WIP Chicago chapter members to learn more about “Driving Innovation with AI Product Management.”

National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)

The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is one of the largest student-governed organizations that supports the development of Black Engineers. Discover was proud to serve as a key sponsor for the 2024 National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) convention and the main sponsor of this year’s opening session. With over 18,000 attendees in attendance, the Discover Team had the opportunity to engage with the future of engineering in Atlanta, Georgia during an energizing week.
