Journey to Discover
I came to Discover because of the management and the business operating model in Europe, The Middle East and Africa (EMEA). My team is responsible for the operational implementation and support of all our issuing and acquiring partners in EMEA. Though I’m still in the early days of my career here at just seven months in, I feel I’ve already made an impact. I make this impact by openly sharing my personal and professional experiences from the industry over the last 25 years.

Leading through COVID-19
When I first started, I had to lead my team through the difficult period of COVID-19. During this time, my role was about ensuring the team remained safe and operational. We also had to provide all of our EMEA partners with the operations support required to operate on the network. Fortunately we were able to do that, and even boarded new partners onto the network.

More personally, during the most difficult periods of COVID-19, I appreciated the work-life balance and flexibility. What sets Discover apart from other companies is the focus and support we provide all employees, especially when they need it most.

The future is orange
From my experience in the industry, the organization is very focused on supporting all its employees. We operate with a growth mindset and have ambitious plans. On my first visit to our Headquarters in Riverwoods, IL, I was impressed at the Discover brand presence in Chicago. The future looks very orange.
