Additionally, the team led our first ever Careers Open House in Whitehall, Ohio, where local community members were invited to see our brand-new facility and learn about #LifeAtDiscover.

Throughout 2024, over 300 Discover employees were invited to experience firsthand what it means to Shine Bright® and represent the company at our booth, where they facilitated meaningful conversations with conference attendees. Inside our booth, we invited visitors to participate in our Make an Impact activation, where they decide which non-profit Discover makes a donation to on their behalf.

At several conferences, Discover leaders from across the business were given the opportunity to showcase their knowledge and expertise and share their experiences at Discover. We’re grateful to each of them for giving time out of their busy schedules to participate.

Here’s what a few of those dedicated employees had to share about their experience this past year:

“SWE is always a happy place for me - seeing fellow women engineers excited about their future is incredibly uplifting. I love getting to represent Discover, talk about my career path, and share the amazing opportunities for women engineers at our company!” – Wendy, Director, Channel Marketing

“SHPE is my favorite conference. Of all of the conferences I've been at, SHPE has the best energy, most attentive audiences, and working long booth sessions talking to the attendees is a real joy.” – Manuel, Sr. Manager, Chapter Engineering

“Attending and speaking at the Grace Hopper Celebration as a Discover representative was an incredible experience. I had the privilege of connecting with brilliant minds from our organization and across the tech industry. This event provided the perfect platform to collaborate, share ideas, and collectively seek out unique talent to drive innovation and contribute to our engaging culture here at Discover!” – Reda, Sr. Internal Auditor

“I believe it is my experiences at Discover and attending these conferences that has given me the insight to not only speak with authority regarding the area I am representing but also other areas that I interact with on a regular basis.” – Sharon, Sr. Manager Software Engineering

Discover team members gathered at numerous activations throughout 2024.

Across the nation, our employees brought their expertise and passion to the forefront, building relationships with potential candidates, attending or speaking at impactful sessions, and representing Discover with pride. Together, we not only showcased our commitment to excellence but also demonstrated countless moments of collaboration and teamwork. These experiences remind us how our impact stretches beyond the work we do—it’s about the connections we make, and the future we build together. As we carry this inspiring momentum into 2025, we’re excited to continue to make a difference for each other, our customers, and the communities we serve.
