In this role, the candidate will be responsible for developing and enhancing credit risk management strategies and/or loss forecasts. The candidate will leverage customer level information and predictive models to maximize profits, while using efficient trade-offs among key business metrics such as credit losses, receivables, and profit. This will necessitate identification, design and implementation of statistical and business analyses in support of business strategy.
The successful candidate will have strong ability to independently translate business objectives into analytical framework and solve them by using optimal trade-offs between risk and revenue metrics. He/she will work in a cross-functional environment with internal business partners such as Marketing, Operational Teams, Finance, Legal and Risk Management Functions. Participate in development and maintenance of credit strategies, processes, and procedures
Participate in the development and maintenance of credit loss forecast
Establish and maintain effective performance tracking to ensure strategies and/or forecasts are performing as expected. Apply key learnings to update strategies/loss forecasts in a timely manner
Design and implement comprehensive tests and evaluate financial impact from various treatments to drive enhancements
Lead design of optimization schemes, customer segmentation and predictive models to enhance decision making
Lead implementation with operational teams to ensure accuracy and soundness of execution
Conduct periodic reviews to ensure accurate execution
Proven analytical and problem solving skills
Strong business acumen and knowledge of industry, risk management, and business metrics preferred
Solid understanding of financial analysis and statistical concepts
High level of proficiency in SQL, SAS and Excel
Good communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills
Self-motivated with ability to set priorities in a performance driven environment
Minimum: Master’s Degree (Math, Science, Business, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or similar quantitative degree)
Minimum: 1+ Years Experience (Analytics, Consulting, Financial Services, or related)
Preferred: 2+ Years Experience (Analytics, Consulting, Financial Services, or related)
