TITLE: Principal Operations Strategy
DUTIES: Discover Products Inc. seeks Principal Operations Strategy in Riverwoods, IL to analyze, develop and implement fraud mitigation operations processes based on recent fraud trends and available capabilities for various types of fraud. Work with various stakeholders including operations center, analytics, infrastructure, other business owners and external business partners, to formulate solutions to business problems. Implement recovery process and collections for the bank fraud unit to mitigate fraud losses. Conduct analyses and develop recommendations to improve existing recovery processes. Establish operational process for funds movement and financial reporting of fraud losses and recoveries . Work with Operations to ensure Strategies are streamlined for operational efficiency and reduce fraud losses. Design associated servicing aspects of fraud prevention including account actioning and communication . Conduct process reviews and call listening to identify opportunity for improvements. Establish operational procedures to manage risk and apply decision strategies. Support projects including testing and deployment of new vendor scores, and development of business cases for incorporating new technology. Define and develop reporting metrics to track operational metrics to track operational efficiency . Train and delegate work to junior staff members. Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related field and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or related position: developing analytics solutions to track and improve statistical model performance using analytical tools including SAS, SQL, Tableau and Excel; performing root cause analysis, cash flow analysis, NPV analysis and cost benefit analysis to evaluate financial impacts on business decisions. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree and four (4) years of experience in the above listed skills.
