TITLE: Manager, Business Strategy
DUTIES : Discover Products Inc. seeks Manager, Business Strategy in Riverwoods, IL to support strategy development, performance tracking and process improvement. Participate in optimize collection processes, including identify key business drivers and evaluate overall impact on risk-reward tradeoffs. Work with implementation team to ensure the strategies are implemented accurately. Utilize internal and external data sources to develop analytic insights and recommendations. Participate in developing and managing predictive and segmentation models as well as portfolio analytics. Provide recommendations on data availability, limitations and effectiveness. Participate in design and testing of segmentation of card delinquent accounts. Perform optimization of treatment based on segmentation. Participate in assessment of financial impact, and monitor strategy performance and explore new quantitative methods and data sources for collection strategy development. Present findings and recommendations to business partners and senior leadership. Promote a risk aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics or a related field and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or related position: utilizing statistical techniques including regression, decision tree and clustering; participating in collection, risk analytics and optimization; participating in data mining and strategy development; and utilizing technologies including SAS, SQL, Teradata and Unix. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree and four (4) years of experience.
